My first time having Uruguayan food and it was excellent! For first timers, i recommend you get the meat platter unless you really know what types of meat you like. We got: - meat platter for 2: i think it would feed about 4 average people. My personal favorite were the blood sausage and the sweet breads. The veal was quite tough but i feel like that's always the case. The beef ribs were also quite good but a little salty - paella marinera for 2: this one is probably indeed adequate for 2 people (maybe stretched for 3). The dish was so moist and all the seafood were perfectly cooked. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes and eat more sweet bread!!!

Great value steak. You need to know what to order. The first time we ate here, we had the parillada. It is an impressive amount of food, but I'm not a fan of morcilla, the meats are tough and the sweetbreads are overcooked and dry. Since then, we've had the skirt steak which has good flavor but a little fatty. The best has been the shell steak/bife chorizo. It is a very nice cut of meat and they cook it perfectly - well seasoned, nice crust. The watercress salad pairs perfectly. The place is lively, lots of families with children and very casual.

Ate here today for lunch all by myself while working seasonally as a poll worker nearby. This was definitely my first time eating Uruguayan food feeling curious about what to choose and eat for the first time. I had brought and ate the chicken empanada and 3 veal steak chops with a side of french fries. It was absolutely delicious and tasty that I literally got super full after eating it all up. The service there was also attentive and friendly that I didn't feel rushed about what to choose from the menu of how I can afford it. I couldn't agree more! Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

Neighborhood staple. Been coming here for over 25 years. The food is consistently delicious and while prices have gone up, you still can't find a similar steakhouse in New York for the same prices. I would come here over a Manhattan steakhouse any day.
